Ethiopia has an incredibly rich musical heritage. Four different aspects of that heritage are presented here: folk music, religious music, polyphony from Dorzé, polyphony of the tribes living in the south-western part of the country. The principal musical instruments we hear are the kabaro (tapered drum with two laced heads), the masenqo (single-string spike fiddle), the krar (bowl lyre with five or six strings), and the washint (end-blown flute with four finger-holes).

As an original member of the globally renowned harmony trio Israel Vibration, Apple has recently fallen on hard times, recently becoming homeless. He also now suffers from seizures due to living in a mold infested apartment for 4 years.
According to the Reggae Festival E-Guide, "Apple was the original creator of their 'anthemic' songs and the original creator of the 'bionic' roots harmonies that is the signature sound of the Group, and he also wrote a seemingly infinite number of great songs, such as Lift Up Your Conscience, We A De Rasta, Why You So Craven, Oh Jan Solid Rock, Middle East, There is No End, Falling Angels, Mud Up and Rude Boy Shuffling, Friday Evening, Walk The Streets of Glory and much, much more."
Apple now needs your help and support. To that end, they are accepting donations to assist this Rasta Brother to get back on his feet. "There is so much more that Apple has in store for us musically. Let's show him how much we appreciate his contribution to us by giving back to him."

A lady in New Mexico has donated her RV to Apple so now he will have a bed to sleep on, an area to cook food and better shelter than his car where he is living now. The Problem at hand is trying to get the gasoline to get it from Albaquerque to Atlanta. If you can donate gas cards, food cards to help get the RV on the way to Apple, the sooner the better
